Carmel Valley Homes Stable Growth Enhances Quality of Life
Carmel Valley, San Diego continues to succeed as one of San Diego County’s best planned communities and grows in that reputation. At the same time, Carmel Valley sticks firmly to its grassroots commitment to keep home and overall community growth within the framework of enhancing quality of life. It sticks to its commitment to strike a conducive balance with natural beauty and preserves of the valley. Growth plans do not entertain encroachment and overgrowth. While commendable and high achievements in wise planning, these commitments are considered stumbling blocks by some who would have it another way.
Some developers not loyal to the community’s master plan, who have no previous building ties within the Carmel Valley homes and various commercial developments would like to tack on unrestricted multi-family and commercial complexes in certain corners of Carmel Valley and Del Mar. Their plans to build up instead of out may seem inoffensive at first, but the community should find little attraction in the congestion and encroachment such a development would cause. It would in effect, crumble the careful, responsible growth commitment of Carmel Valley. In addition, most Carmel Valley residents prefer not to have their community incorporated.
Luckily, Carmel Valley, San Diego relishes its achievements in enhanced living and has not been won over by the wooing of aggressive developers. Residents simply refuse to let growth in Carmel Valley homes and commercial conveniences negatively impact their quality of life. As a result, the community retains its special attraction and sheen. It remains focused on enhancing the community together with the natural surroundings, not on embracing, however orderly it may seem, construction leading to ‘non-constructive’ congestion and volumes of lost quality.
On the whole, the community’s image as an area of stable, responsible growth results in high retention of home buyer interest and influx. In fact, according to some recent statistics, while inventory is slightly down in San Diego overall, sales of homes with generally higher price points are up. These sales include a prime percentage of Carmel Valley homes, whose pricing reflects a wide range of true value.
