Carmel Valley Festivities
Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park is Dec. 19-24 in downtown San Diego. Families will be able to join in the festivities, lighting displays, ride the Polar Express trains, explore Candyland, feed live reindeer and take pictures with Santa. Children can visit the North Pole for the night and experience the magic of Christmas.
Check out the houses with over the top light shows throughout San Diego County. The San Diego Padres sponsored the 2014 Christmas Lights Map, so that families are able to find the appropriate areas in the county as well as addresses, times and radio stations. Families scattered throughout have decorated their houses so that the lights are matched up with the beats and sounds of certain radio stations. This neat light display is amazing and the kids always enjoy festive lights.
Other beautiful light displays are in Downtown San Diego called Luminaria and The Forward House in Bankers Hill. Luminaria is in South Park where all the trees, lamp posts, roofs and courtyards are all decorated with lights. Families can travel from 30th street and Fern Street to Juniper Street to Grape Street to Beech Street. The Foward House in Bankers Hill is a historical mansion built in 1905 and every Christmas is decked out with thousands of lights. This celebration has been admired since 1998 and continues to liven the Holiday spirit in all San Diegans. The home is location on 108 Ivy St, five blocks from Balboa Park. This is something you don’t want to miss!
Get in the spirit this Holiday season by joining on these Carmel Valley Ranch and San Diego events fun for the whole family! Living in Carmel Valley couldn’t get any better.
