There’s lots going on the Saturday before Saint Patrick’s in San Diego. First up is the St. Patrick’s Day 10K Run. This takes place March 14th at 7:45 am at Mission Bay Park.  There will even be a special Irish award for the best “Irish Theme” running costume. Plus, the race benefits Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. Race for a good cause while celebrating a fun holiday.

Also going on March 14th for Saint Patrick’s Day in San Diego is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival. This is the largest St. Patrick’s Day parade west of the Mississippi. Join thousands of marchers and spectators at 10:30 am to celebrate the holiday. There will be bagpipers and high school marching bands, police and fire department units, dancing groups, floats, clowns, representatives from Ireland, antique cars and more. To continue the fun after the St. Patrick’s Day parade, there will be an Irish festival in Balboa Park featuring live entertainment on 2 stages.

If you want to enjoy some music to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in San Diego, then you’ll definitely want to attend the Three Irish Tenors performance on March 14th at 7 pm. You are sure to be entertained by this wonderful evening of classical and contemporary Irish music as well as well-known show tunes and other music. It all takes place at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

For fun in San Diego happening the actual day of St. Patrick’s Day, head to the House of Blues to take part in their celebration. Have a great time rocking out in the Voodoo Room to Samantha Aiken, ZB Savoy, Daddy Issues and Cult Vegas. There is no cover and all ages are welcome until 11 pm.

Also going on Saint Patrick’s Day in San Diego is a performance by 100 Celtic Harps. This amazing concert will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley. There will also be a raffle for a small harp during intermission. The musical magic start at 7 pm.
