At the New Children’s Museum, a pajama party takes place where kids can be comfortable and stay up late with the grown ups. The Spreckels Organ Society is hosting its annual Centennial Concert with San Diego Civic Organist Dr. Carol Williams. This celebration is commemorating 100 years of the Spreckels Organ and Balboa Park existing. There will be live music and a pre-historic slide show. This is a free event. You can also enjoy this streamed live on U-Stream if you’re unable to attend.
In the ever popular Gaslamp Quarter is New Years Eve at Andaz San Diego. There will be a variety of DJ’s playing and different types of places to enjoy on each floor level. The three levels include a Rooftop atmosphere, a wine bar, a “night club” and a VIP lounge. Enjoy dancing and party favors and bring in the new year in style. Tickets are $40 to $100 depending on the package.
If you’re looking to switch it up this San Diego New Years Eve, the world beat cultural center is hosting the Alternative New Years Eve Ascension 2015. This is located in Balboa Park and will feature music and dance from global African and Indigenous cultures. There will be a full vegetarian and vegan buffet with Kombucha on tap. Music includes a Healing Drum Circle, Tibetan Bowls, Kirtan Chanting and much more.
